Kindergarten Assessments for Incoming Students : The following letter was mailed to all registered students on July 18, 2017:

July 2017

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to a wonderful year in Kindergarten.  Before school starts we would like to take a little bit of time to get to know your child.  Please call the school to sign up for a 20-minute time slot to bring your child in to work with a teacher.  We will complete some preliminary reading assessments during this time. These assessments will help provide your child’s teacher with information to guide instruction and differentiate to best meet your child’s needs.  We will conduct the assessments on August 24th and 25th from 9:00am to 11:40am.  If you are unable to attend due to a family vacation, please do not be concerned.  We will also conduct these assessments the first few weeks of school. We hope you are having an enjoyable summer, we look forward to seeing you soon!

Thank you,

The Kindergarten Team
