Come out and join the AES community on Friday, October 28 from 5:30-7:30pm for a Trunk or Treat event in the back parking lot during the last night of the Book Fair, which will be held outside under the lunch tent.

Wear your Halloween costume and expect lots of fun trunk or treating, with spooky music and games. Then vote on your favorite Trunk, which will be awarded a prize from the PTA. If you'd like to get creative and spooky, and earn a chance to win a prize, complete this google form:

Please consider donating candy for the Trunk or Treat. You can drop off candy donations to Meghan Hill (8413 Kenton Ct) or Jackie Stark (8427 Kings Meade Way) or use the AES Trunk or Treat Amazon List:

This committee, chaired by Bia Lewis, works to search for and schedule culturally enriching events during the school day for our students. Committee members work together, and with AES administration, to find opportunities and reach out to vendors /performers to schedule. If you'd like to share your voice for these events, please join by using the form below.

Many "paws" make light work, so please consider joining one of our fabulous PTA committees today! Committee leadership not your speed? No worries! There are still opportunities to participate without having to be in charge. You can sign up here:

For our November Staff Appreciation extravaganza, we are going to create a video of as many AES students and families as possible sharing why they are thankful for AES. You and/or your child can share who they're thankful for, what they're thankful for, what they love about AES, etc. The final version will be shared at the November staff meeting. We'd love to be as inclusive as possible - teachers, paras, related arts, front office, student services, academic specialist, student assistants, admin, custodial, and cafeteria. If you'd like to participate, please email Ilana Roth at and she'll give you more info.
