PTA PANTHER SHOUTOUT

I think we can all agree that our Trunk or Treat was a hit! Hundreds shows up to dance, collect treats, visit the incredible trunks that families created, and eat some yummy tacos. Huge thank you to Meghan Hill and Jackie Stark for such a fun event. You two definitely know how to plan a great party! And thank you to all the families who participated by creating some professional-grade trunks. Congratulations to Kim Currano and family for getting first place with their Mario themed trunk and Jen Saxton and family for earning 2nd place with their Minecraft. We can't wait to see everyone back next year!

Thank you to Molly Fieldsend and all the fabulous room parents and party volunteers for hosting our classroom fall parties on October 28th. Our students only get 2 school-wide parties a year, and Molly did a great job making sure this one was special for everyone!

Another shoutout to all the volunteers who completed our committee signup google form. So many of you committed to helping us strengthen our school and provide opportunities for our students and families (some of you offering to serve on multiple committees!).

DECEMBER STAFF APPRECIATION - SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO

For our December (formerly November) Staff Appreciation extravaganza, we are going to create a video of as many AES students and families as possible sharing why they are thankful for AES. You and/or your child can share who they're thankful for, what they're thankful for, what they love about AES, etc. The final version will be shared at the November staff meeting. We'd love to be as inclusive as possible - teachers, paras, related arts, front office, student services, academic specialist, student assistants, admin, custodial, and cafeteria. If you'd like to participate, please email Ilana Roth at ilanapearl@gmail.com and she'll give you more info.

BOOKFAIR RECAP:

Thank you all so much for shopping the Fall 2022 Book Fair. We exceeded our goals, selling over 1800 items! We were able to provide over $160 in free books to AES students through All For Books, have $2000 for our teachers to use on future Scholastic purchases, and still contribute $1750 to our PTA.
